Convention/Junior Banquet

I'm taking it upon myself to inquire about convention and the junior banquet in April. The deadline for registration is Apr. 1st and the club has limited funds to offset costs. If we want to go to the banquet, we have to pay the $35 reg. fee and $25 for the dinner. I want to go to the banquet and need to know if any of the cost will be paid by the club since we also have dues coming up at the beginning of May.

So, please post here if you plan to go to convention in any capacity or if you are just planning to go to the banquet.

I wanted to give you the correct pricing. If you go for one day of convention the registration will be $20 if paid by April 2nd and the dinner for Friday night is $26. I know Stephanie and myself will be at convention from Wednesday to Sunday, Heather will be there Friday and Saturday paging and Laura is coming to the banquet Friday night and going to the silver luncheon on Saturday. Like Dawn said we need to know who is thinking about going so we can look at the budget. We think we will be able to pay for part, but we need a head count first.

I'm interested in attending the banquet, especially since due to the Juniorettes. However, I am unable to page & I am also not able to pay $60 for my vegetarian dinner (no problem paying for the actual meal, but not for the registration fee as well). Is anybody else interested in attending?

We are looking at the budget and we can not give a final amount until we see how many people are interested in coming. The club will pay for some. The total for the night would be $46 if you had to pay it all but you should not have to. If if anyone interested could post that would be great. So far I see Dawn and Nicole are thinking about coming.

Want to just remind everyone that if you can page, they are allowing part-time pages, this year. Which means, if you can come anytime on Friday and/or stay into Saturday you can be a page, showing FV JWC support for Angela and Stephanie who have the honor of being chosen as co-Chief pages, and then the registration is FREE! This is such a wonderful opportunity to see the far reaching work that women/clubs in our STATE are doing, it is inspiring and educational, as well as a great chance to meet counterparts from all over NC... please try to make plans to join Angela, Stephanie, and me as we wear our blue page sashes (without dipping into the potty) to represent our club!

I will be attending Friday evenings banquet. I think I can page Saturday and maybe even Friday...have to check with the hubby. I will let you know asap!

When is the deadline for paging? Is it too late? the letter said Feb 28?

Could we potentially just attend the banquet Friday nt and page on Saturday? Then what would we owe? Just Friday's meal fee or Saturday's meal fees as well?

If you page at least one day, you will not have to pay a registration fee. And if you do page, it is my understanding that the club will pay for one of your meals on the day that you actually page. Is that your understanding Heather and Angela?

FYI....I know that some of you know this but just for others to see.......

I am attending on Friday afternoon and Saturday. I will be attending the Jr. Banquet on Friday and the Saturday Silver Awards luncheon. I do not plan to stay for Saturday night's dinner. lq

My understanding of the by-laws, from Kathy and Angela, is that the funds in the budget cover the hotel room (4 to a room) and one meal per day for the President and pages... then any additional money can be used to offset the costs of other members attending. At the moment, we know of 4 attending for sure and all calculations are in limbo until we determine if there are others able to page/attend.

Hey Sorry for the late notice, but, I can page Friday, but not until after I drop Kayla off and get myself ready and to Raleigh. And I can page on Saturday. I am not sure what the cost is for all that, today not the best day for figuring things out! I will not be staying over night.

I am not going to be able to page. I can attend Friday night, but we have plans on Saturday.
