Hello,

On Thursday, February 4th, The Special Olympics of Wake County will be hosting a Basketball Skills session. I would like to get a group of people together who are interested in volunteering. It will be held at Bond Park in Cary from 9 am to 1 pm. Please respond in the forum if you are interested and can volunteer.

Thanks,
Alison

Happy New Year All! I wanted to bring this back to everyone's view. I will discuss this at tonight's meeting but please start looking at your calendars to see if you can fit this rewarding project in!

Thanks!

I will not be able to participate, since it is during the day and I don't have time off yet. Have fun!

Sorry Wendy that you won't be able to join us! And thanks everyone else for your feedback. I will wait until the end of this week/early next week before replying to Special Olympics - it looks like a few more folks are trying to firm up plans. Thanks again!

I am going to plan on being there, Alison- but I'm a definite Maybe!!! Is that okay? My husband says he can watch Lane but- if something were to come up- then I'd have to find someone else...so it's just wait and see!!!

Thanks everyone for your updates. I know the work week is tough so I appreciate all the responses. Right now it looks like we have me, Stephanie, Dawn(possibly), Media(possibly). Nicole - what time do you think you could make it - it generally ends about 12:30 or so? I would hate for you to drive out there for it to be wrapping up

Unfortunately due to Wake County Schools delay tomorrow - they have had to cancel tomorrow's Basketball Skills competition. They are hoping to reschedule at a later date so I will keep everyone posted with the new date. I have tried to call those who were committed to the event but wanted to post in case someone was free at the last minute.

Thanks!
